from the pics it looks like the front "nostrils" need to be cut out to make it fuctional.. something the bodyshop that paints it could do...

what do you mean the nostrils need to be cut out? The nostrils appear to be already a straight shot back to the underside of the hood. Is that what you mean?

after a better look they are already cut out so yes it is fully fuctional just needs the grills to cover the hole.

It looks functional to me but looks like it should be cut more on the underside to make a bigger opening for more air.

if thats the style hood you want yeah. it is fuctional just may have to cut the slit bigger on the underside. and get some grills for the top side... not sure how it is for the lt1's but you may need a differant airbox for it to fit on also.. then paint and install.. :thumbsup:

if i am not mistaken it looks functional. my buddy had one of these hoods and it is not a strait shot to the intake. it has a hump in the middle so the rain doesnt go in the motor. someone correct me if i am wrong.

that is the same a setup as my hood there is a piece of fiberglass that keeps the water out ouf the engine compaprtment

Thanks for all your help! Now I just have to save for the paintjob and the airbox. Where can I get the airbox? Suncoast?
