Default New berger idea

I have a extra berger pannel and i was thinking about cutting out the camaro on the back of it and then placing some plexiglass behind it and then some red lights. So it will just glow camaro and it will get bright when i tap the brakes. I would paint it satin black. I would love some opinions, or has someone allready done this?

I don't think anyones done it. It sounds like a neat idea as long as it's done right / tastefully.

Ive seen it done, and it looked pretty sweet. I know i've seen someone light up the front camaro on the stock grille, but i think someone did the berger too.

I've thought about doing this, but I never took the time to actually do it.
never seen it on an Fbody, but I'm sure someone has done it.
i have seen similar on custom bikes and it looks badass. I say go for it, and use LEDs

Bastid! I am already in the works with this one!!! I was going to do basically what the Sunfire has on it with the name lit up when the parking lights come on.

That sounds like a great idea. Go for it! I assume you'll be using LEDs?

I would suggest using cold cathodes unless you plan on somehow diffusing the plexiglass. Otherwise you'll have nothing but hotspots

What if you did what some of the new exit signs have, LEDs along the one edge of the plexi, and the plexi is crystal clear except for it is frosted at the lettering? Those exit signs don't really have any hotspots because it uses the plexi to diffuse the light.

ok, cool i will go with those instead. My factory wires going to my rear lights should have enough power for the cold cathodes to run off of right?
