What tint for side of SOM t/a?
I have a SOM t/a with ttops and black interior. I want to tint the side windows for many reasons.
Side tint is illegal in my area so I need to pick something that won't get me pulled over.
My hatch is already tinted 5%, what should I get on the side?
Can I get away with some lighter tints and have them look dark due to the limo rear hatch and black interior?
Looks and privacy (i got too many gadgets in my car now i don't want people seeing are important) are important.

Personally, I would do 5%, but if you think your gonna get fucked with by the law, then I say do 25-30%.
It doesn't make much sense to me that you can have your hatch in 5%....but doing your sides in 5% will get you pulled over??? Then again, I can see the validity in that....somehow!

I would say 35% for your sides to avoid the hassles from the local pd. Having 5% hatch will help some with darkening it up so you can't see in so easily. I have 20% all around and you can't see in mine to easily during the day.

Mine has 35% because at the time the GA State Patrol had a hard on for widow tint violations and I just didnt want to get hassled about it like I did in my truck (Lincoln Mark LT with 5%.) Now they are back to giving a **** less and I have 5% on my new 08 F350 and havent been looked at twice.
I would really like them darker but its not terrible:
