Default Look at these valve covers

looks like modified stock LT1 valve covers....wondering if anyone has seen them like this before. It looks like they meticulously painted the ridges.

I'd say they just painted them black...then took a sander to the ridges. I did it to a set of Mickey thompson- big block chevy covers. Turned out the same. or you could just go over them with a paint marker

and watch the lines rust. I think they were painted. The stock covers are not aluminum.

hi-temp clear over them once you sand the paint off. I've done this before with centerbolts off my old truck. Works fine

A set of lt1 valve covers can be had for cheap on ebay....I think I'll buy a spare set and start experimenting.

Just wondered if you ever did this? I have a set that I painted and then put black vinyl on the lines and the cleared over them so that they wouldnt peel. Just an idea. Im not sure how they will hold up though. I havent installed them on the car yet.
