Since we're not limiting ourselves to f-bodies....
This was my dads '41 Mercury convertible which he owned from '92-'93 when he lived in Wisconsin, when he found it it had been sitting in storage since the early 70's. It had been pretty wildly customized in the '60's, beside all the obvious body mods(done in lead BTW) it had a dual quad 283 Vette engine. My dad restored it and put a mild 350 in it along with a T350 trans. I loved this car and seriously wanted to kick his *** when he sold it and had always wondered what happened to it.
Well at the latest Good Guys car show here in San Diego I found it and talked to the current owner for about an hour, he himself had no idea of the history of the car since it went through three owners between my dad and him. I put them in contact with each other, the guy was more excited about me finding the car than I was. The only thing that had been changed since I saw it last in '93 was that the chrome reverse steelies were swapped for Centerlines and it had been repainted in the same color.
