Default Just got an SS spoiler

I got an SS spoiler along with my car, its used, but it has a new brake light and the gasket things that go where it mounts, I was just wondering if anyone had a part number to the connecter that is on like a stock z28 spoiler for the brake light. I want to do it like that so i can just pull the ss spoiler off if i want without having to mess with wires. Also is it absolutely necessary that I drill holes in my decklid to mount the spoiler? Because if there is an easier way that would be great.

Thanks ahead of time

As far as the connector goes, just splice that ****. You won't ever take it off once it's on, trust me. Secondly as far as drilling holes, just don't drill the holes. The spoiler mounts to the car fine without having to secure the middle posts. Good luck.

not sure about the connector, but.. I dont think the two middle supports should rub against the paint. Bolt up the end supports, and check its rigidity, see how stable the spoiler is. It should be fine though. Also, if your force is making the middle pieces move, just realize there isn't anything (like wind for example) thats going to make it move that much by itself.
Trust us, I doubt your gonna wanna take that thing off. Your gonna fall in love.

I think you can get like foam things to stop it from rubbing, but it might look weird.

If it by chance rubs the paint, it won't ever move far enough for you to notice any imperfections it may cause.

Haha yeah man, I find myself sitting in my car alot for no reason. I'm also 16 so I dont have my license yet, so that makes me sit in it even more. Let us know how the spoiler goes.

If you ever need anything, everyone here is a big help. Since the day I bought my car I've been posting threads, and 90% of the time I get some good advice. Just be careful with the car since its got high mileage, maybe some high mileage maintenance would be good!
Good luck!

The screws just un-bolt from the old spoiler. Those are the only bolt/screws you will need.

Should be plug and play for you. My Z-28's stock connector plugged right into the led light and I didn't drill any holes for it. Just reuse the 4 nuts that hold the stock spoiler on. Couldn't be an easier install. Go for it!

yet again another bump, i was out at a cruise last night and i was talking to some other guy with a ss camaro and he said that the rk sport spoilers dont touch the decklid, they hang about a 1/4 inch off of it. Has anyone else had this problem, because from what I've read they sound like they are close to OEM fitment. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
