You can chrome plastic but its much more expensive to chrome than metal (we are probably talking in the range of $500 for an intake) and I dont think it would hold up nearly as well as it would on metal. Thats why I plan to do a metal aftermarket intake (that should be around $200 to chrome...so the price even with the intake wouldnt be that much more.) I think somebody on here was going to have a LS6 chromed but I dont know if they ever did.
Also note the Typhoon intake is polished...not chrome. That means its not as shiney as chrome but more importantly wont stay looking as good nearly as long unless you polish it all the time.
Anther thing....can you use the factory fuel rail on one of these intakes?
