Default Removing vynil stripes

Hello all Its getting close to the time for me to remove my stripes...heres the car

Im gonna be getting a 4 inch cowl soon and need to remove the stripes as they wont exactly flow well with the new hood.
So how do you remove these? Is it a long painfull procedure? If so I might just have the shop do it when my ttops/CME are getting touched up.

Warm them up with a hair dryer and start peeling slowly.

Jeez how did you guess? Ya Im gonna get it blended when I get home. I went to a couple of places here in tacoma and they wanted 1400 bucks to touch up my ttops and blend the CME. Ya Im gonna wait till I get home where I actually know people!
As far as the stripes they have been on there since 2005. So when these things peel off do they come off in little pieces or in bigger patches? I have a feeling Im not going to enjoy this...

Theres no need to heat it excessively. If its above 70* and cooler than 90* you should be in good shape (as long as it hasn't been sitting in the sun all day). Excessive heating will cause the vinyl to stretch and tear easier making it harder to remove. Just pick at a corner and start pulling it off slowly. If it resists, use the hairdryer to 'persuade' it a little. It shouldn't leave much adhesive behind, if it does use goo gone, spray it and let it sit for a minute or so, then scrub it off, then use rubbing alcohol, then repeat as necessary. Just make sure to use rubbing alcohol last to clean up the slick crap the goo gone leaves behind. Then go over it with a quick wax type product and you should be good to go.

Heat Gun, Hair Drier, And some stuff to remove the junk left behind. Can also use a plastic razor blade and heat gun and will prolly get 90% of it off. Then Clean, Wax. Finished.

I took the Hockey Stick Stripes off my car in whole sections in 40 degree cold without hair dryer but the glue was the real !@#$%. I used a hair dryer on the Grand Sport Stripes and claybar and done in 30mns.

Peel them off with a hair dryer/heat gun and a plastic razor, then take off the residue with 3M Adhesive Remover ($7) and some Microfiber towels ($4)...make sure to constantly turn/flip the towel so that u don't get too much residue build up. You might have to do 2 passes with the 3M Adhesive Remover, but it'll be good for a wash and wax afterwards. Your THUMBS will thank you!

Good luck
