Nope... the reverse lights dont have any affect on the circuit. Just the tails and brakes...

yeah, a cut off wheel for the bulk of it and then little sanding tools to get the edges trimmed up. Hobby Lobby sells glass in 12" x 12" sections...
Then if you just want it solid, thats cake, just use a 12V ricer style neon and tap into the tail light wires that are back there. Done.
Good Luck!

i wouldnt be able to use bondo to fill the pontiac in though if i plan on putting a Firebird stencil on it and cutting the Firebird word out..the bond would crack. i would have to plastic weld it correct? any ideas?

look into something called Duraglass(sp). Its like a mix of bondo and fiberglass resin, sorta. I used this stuff on my Jeep, once it cures its crazy hard... not sure how well it would attach itself to the plastic though. Could get a scrap panel from a junk yard and test it out...

if you do decide to give it a shot, keep me posted... defintely a cool idea.

Well since hte bumper isnt plastic you wouldnt be able to plastic weld it. Bondo or any type of filler wouldnt work either. You need some sort Plasitc Fusor. LORD makes some plastic fusor thats supposed to be gread. Look into that.
