paint should be fine as long as nobody purposely scratches them. its not hard to remove them to repaint.

Here's about what my finished one will look like! I still need to add a second coat of black and lightly wet sand em, but this is basically it! Hand painted with Testors enamel model paint.

Also, don't worry about the paint coming off... All of my custom switches (I used factory switches for things like Nitrous, Purge, Garage Door Opener, Aftermarket Foglights, etc...) have spray paint on them (to cover up things like ASR) and they have NOT rubbed off in over a year...
