Well that's how it became a problem.

We followed the tutorial, but messed up along the way.

I found out I sanded in circular motions, and shouldn't have skipped the 800grit sanding. They look great now that I re-did them.

BTW where did you buy the high grit sand paper? Home Depot, Lowe'sAce, and etc didn't have any....
Advanced Auto! Well I didn't use 800 grit because my lights were not that bad, but I did do the 1000 in a circular motion, maybe that caused it??? Im just about all out of ideas

If you made bad scratches from going in circular motions, your either gonna have to use a very good polish to get rid of the scratches, or (I think) use a coarser sandpaper to get rid of your circular scratches. Then gradually move up in grit, to keep removing scratches from previous, coarser sandpaper scratches.

Use 1000 in SIDE to SIDE motions. Then go over it with 1500 or 2000 going in the same direction. Then polish them up real good.

My kid knocked his Xbox 360 over and doing so caused the disc to get scratched and ruined. His Rockband disc wouldnt play any more do to this ring dug into the disc.

I took out that 3m polisher that I just used on my headlights and it removed the ring. I'm really liking that thing. Its less elbow grease and less time than doing it manually. I think I spent about 30 mins on each headlight doing it manually and about 5-10 on it with the 3m pad.

its also a lot easier around the little alignment pegs.

When done improperly they will just haze up again. When done properly, they will not.

Do yourself a favor and pick up some 3000 grit and finish with that, then really polish them out with Plastx. I'm talking putting some serious pressure and speed into the rubbing. These things aren't going to disintegrate in your hands by some lame PlastX so don't be afraid.
Im going to go find some 3000 grit, i did put pressure on it, but still nothing. I guess i need to try 3000 grit. Anybody recommend any polish, or does the thing that goes on the drill really worth it?

I used the Mothers Plastic Polish and some stuff that was called Blue Magic Headlight Restorer. They both worked well.

That's what he did do, but somewhere along the lines (like me) he messed up and isn't able to un-haze them.
