Default New mods, My black T/A

I painted my calipers black, and painted the brackets to match the wheels. I put Trans Am decals across the front calipers. I blackout out all of the side markers and the 3rd brake light. I put in brand new turn signal housings/sockets/bulbs.

The calipers look sick in person, the camera just does not make it bright enough. So I finally did some appearance mods, and I finished up on a rainy day that was perfect for some pictures. What do you think ?

Did you just put the decals on normally, or did you put them on and then shoot a coat of clear over it?

I just painted my front calipers but wasn't sure if I should just put the stickers on, or if I needed to put clear coat over them to make them stay put.

What did you use to black out the side markers and brake light?

For the calipers I sanded the front down to get rid of all of the casting lines, then I did 3 coats of black, 2 coats of clear, decals, a very light coat over the decals, followed by another whole coat of clear. they are really smooth and glossy. I have to try to get a better picture. I took the calipers off of the car to do this the right way. You cant see the brackets very well in these pictures but I did the same process for them. I also painted the back of the front brake pad black.

For the side markers, I sanded off all of the numbers and letters. Then I did multiple coats of nightshades until it was dark enough. Then I put multiple coats of clear on it. I wetsanded that with 2000 grit, followed by a rubbing compound and then a polishing compound. I also painted the screws black.

Thanks guys, black is just not done as much. But I think it looks badass.

Appearance wise, I would like some sort of aftermarket hood Some different fog lights and HID lights. Im thinkin about doing some custom center caps cause im sick of people asking me "is that really a ws6."

SPeed wise, the stock tranny is failing to hold up to the power im making now. A 6speed swap is coming, then its head/cam. I have the funds, I just gotta find the time and the parts.

Heres a little better of a pic.

Didn't think black calipers looked good, your car pulls them off well. The background looks familiar too.
