Default CCFL Halos took dump......

I have the CCFL ebay projector headlights and my driverside halos stopped working. They are less than a year old, and of course the ebay guy I bought them from won't replace it. It's my own fault though because even when I first bought them, the driverside halos always took longer to turn-on and become as bright as the passenger side.

I searched on here and couldn't find anyone that tried to fix these....so anyone out their have to repair their CCFL halos yet???? Thx

Anyone know where I can get replacement CCFL Halo's?

It's the projector style with CCFL(cold cathode fluorescent) halos, no LEDs

Yep no LEDs. Could you measure the size of the CCFL? I know of a good place to order CCFL halos from

OK, I'll attempt to take to headlight apart and measure the CCFL. The headlight is still in great condition and I remember reading somewhere that taking a headlight apart involes "heating in an oven" I'll search some threads on here about headlight disassembly, then I might give it a shot. Thanks for the responses

I'd use the oven. Way easier. I've taken headlights apart about 20-25 times

That's how I did it on mine, with a heat gun because I only have a mini-oven (too small). It worked fine.

Yea I know, it sucks cause the headlight itself works great and look awesome, but no halo on driverside. I'm having trouble finding a replacement CCFL's

Hey, i had the same problem. my passenger side halo's just stopped working for no reason. took everything apart and there is a little box inside the lights, i can almost bet ya thats your problem. Thats what was bad on mine. I will have to find where i ordered the little box from. your halo's themselves are not bad, they say those things are good for like 40,000 hours or something stupid. you just need this little box. i will pm you later where i got them. i also got smart and ordered two, just in case the new one was brighter.

My passenger side stopped working randomly. Went back to stock headlights after that. Very disappointed with them.
