Default Time for some interior work!

Today I started my next project for the camaro, redoing the interior. I'm striping everything out and putting down:

-Sound deadening material
-6 point Wolfe Rollbar
-crotch strap bars
-5 pt racing harnesses
-New custom carpet
-redoing all in-car wiring

My goal is to have it finished by the end of the week.

Here is what I accomplished today:

Started with this:

Ended with this:

Carpet with 157,000 miles

Brand new carpet

More to come tomorrow............

Putting in new interior always makes it feel like a new car. Looks like it's coming along!

Pics from today so far.... I have the roll cage mocked up and half the sound deadening material in. Also removed a LOT of old wiring that I didn't need anymore.

Nice start. It is going to look good in the end. I was thinking about doing this last December, new carpet, sound deadening, new seats and rear seat delete. It is so hard to choose whether to do go fast mods or look good mods.

Thanks guys. I decided to do a little more today and did the majority of the back end with the sound deadening material and started the driver's side too. Tomorrow the sound deading should be done and I can put down the foam cover for it.

Yes it is. I'm impressed with the fit of it so far. But very dissapointed in their powdercoating/shipping. It has 3 big ol scratches on it and a good sized chip in it. Not to mention they forgot about my crotch strap brackets for 3 weeks AFTER i received the roll bar (didn't ship them until i called to say WTF).

I demand to know what color your car is... it looks so good. Also, can we get better pics of your door handle and center console area? Did you just paint those or did you smoothen it out first?

Looks good, I remember when my interior looked like that. It was almost tempting to go bolt the driver seat in and make a pass at the track with all the interior out

haha, thanks. its the stock navy blue metallic.

I'll get some pics of the painted interior later and post them up with the finished pics. I sanded them totally smooth before spraying them with navy blue metallic.
