Literally the side mirror (housings) are black. You know, how lots of LS1's have black mirrors and a black roof panel but people paint the side mirrors body color so they flow with the fenders...

This was basically a two-tone car. Bottom pewter, top black but the dividing line went with the crease in the fender that leads to the mirror...
