I'm looking for a set of nice leather seats for my '98 Formula, to make it more street friendly again.
Now do the Arizen seats really make you sit 2 inches higher than stock? I have a 10 pt cage and I can't have my helmet hitting the t-tops.
Worst case I'll source some stock ones and then have them modified for 5 pt harnesses.

I'm not sure what brand, but those look awesome, and about stock height (no visible brackets).

When I got the MRC seats 2 years ago I got the Arizen brackets and I was on the ceiling pretty much with my head touching the visor.
My advice to you is never buy a seat without trying it out first. The MRC seats to me were uncomfortable, too firm, too tight, and sat too high. Didn't make any sense to keep them, so I put back in the stock seats.

i have an arizen drivers, with their bracket. it put me at least 1.5 or more inches higher. had to get the bracket modified, which only dropped me a half inch or so. i couldnt wear my helmet at all with the stock bracket, and even with the modified, i have to take the t-top off when i race. i -can- keep the top on, but my top-left side of my helmet rests against the t-top plastic on the side. had to do that when it rained during an autox. its doable, but not the best. having the seat cushion cut might help also.

Yeah I searched and saw both of you guys indicate this before, thanks for replying to my thread. I will just look for OEM seats then since I can't sit higher than stock at all.

I have the cloth MRCs. I had a heck of a time getting them to fit right and me feel like I wasn't a little kid sitting in a booster seat. I originally tried using stock brackets unmodified bolted up to a piece of aluminum I affixed to the seat. That sat about 1.5"-2" higher than stock. I ended up keeping it this way on the passengers side (it sat a little lower than the driver did). On the driver side, I took the stock bracket back off the seat, used a grinder and grinded down/popped out the rivets that hold the steel feet to the bracket itself. I then aligned the feet with the holes in the body and placed them on the rails that the seats came with. If I remember right, one of the stock feet didn't line up just right on the rail vs the post on the body, so I had to make a bracket for one of the corners out of that aluminum I had to make it line up correctly. Total pain in the ***, I probably had at least 10 hours in screwing with these things, but the result looks terrific and feels great. It actually sits about .5"-1" lower than the stock seat. The seat (minus rails/feet, but they're probably less than 3-4 lbs) weighed right at 30 lbs on its own. Putting in the seat was a chore being able to get to all the bolts because theres so little room with the sliders the seats come with - the stock feet lift the seat just enough off the body to clear and fit your hand barely under/around it. Heres a couple pics...
