Your LT1 looks very nice and clean, the hood fits great too.

Yes, it's still the original medium patriot red metallic paint from the factory with the exception of the front clip (scraped in an accident in 1995) decided to paint headlight area and the nose opening all the same.

how was the install/fit? Did you have to open up the hinge mounting holes? I'm ordering a Sunoco hood next week and am just trying to get a feel for the install. Thanks!

As you can see in the pics, install and fitment was perfect to my standards. Yes, Armando had to open up and/or elongate them a little for precise adjustability for perfect fit.

I was also thinking of the Sunoco hood, but decided on 3" SS, to me looks more aggresive looking.

I didn't know either, till' I asked. Install is xtra.
