I love the top, just don't like the way the lines abruptly end at the sail. Sorry if this has already been covered, but I'm on dial up, and I don't have time to go through the whole thing.

Other than that, it's awesome, and I'd be interested if it's ready by around the turn of the year.
We are going to make the lines blend out BEFORE the sail panel... That's why I didn't take any pics from the back yet. We were originally going to carry them into the sail panel but it is too much of a PITA so now they will be blended out before the mold is done...

We make no claims about safety. We are just making it easier to do what people have already been doing (check out my "Official Targa Top Thread" page)...

I can say I've been around a Targa Topped car and that the windshield support seemed same as convertibles, watched a HUGE guy sit on it and it didn't move (checked with a micrometer) and six months later it hadn't moved). SFC's are a MUST though (for ANY F-Body I'd say) as even convertible (sort of) have those...

Got a pic? I'm guessing you have the truck one, it is bigger...

Cool, yeah I'd appreciate the pic to make sure what I am doing will work if it is the same emblem...

Or a Formula...

And for the emblem imagine a black billet or anodized bowtie emblem with a stainless surround hat would look great on every color car.

Thumbs up

I think for my SOM Z28 I will definetly go with the black grille and get the bowtie emblem painted SOM to match the car...... So a black grille w/a SOM Chevy Bowtie? Just wondering if you think that this would be a good idea 6litereater...... If so I would purchase the grille and emblem in a heartbeat and go get it painted....

I would go throw the black grill with blue bowtie on and drive it around for awhile and see if you like it.

Could have sworn there was a SOM car on here with that setup and it looked awesome

You can always paint it later when you're bored with it and want a nice cheap change

Should look killer either way

Here is some pics of it on Mike's (sommer86) car...

Again, the lines won't be quite as sharp on the production piece AND the back will fade out/blend down the way the front does...

Looking good! This thing is definitely growing on me. Let us know when you have pics of the final product that blends before the sail panel...

Interesting idea. Not for me, but I'll watch to see how it comes out.

Finally, for the Trans-Am guys... Here it is on Gilbert's (Raptor_WS6) car...

For comparison, ugly outdated stock versus the 6LE Package Targa (have to give Gilbert credit, he's the one who came up with the idea of calling my stuff part of a "6LE", in reference to the "1LE" package):

I think it looks WAYYYY better than factory and has lines that compliment MANY F-Body styles

Also, so you guys/gals can see why I am talking about making a rear seat delete to store the targa, it's big...

You could just sat it on the back seat (folded down) but I'm looking for a way to "mount" it in the interior...

When I make my sub/amp enclosure in the hatch its going to be totally flat. I am going to try to delete the side panels in the hatch so I can put this thing inside the hatch. I would like to come up with some sort of latch like the vettes have.

Cool. I'm glad you''re gonna blend it for the final piece.

You've got some awesome products rolling out 6LE. Already gonna have to get that CME Valance from you.

What's next, Dick Harrell Front Bumper Cover (hint, hint)? 100mm Lid? Wide Body?
