Dull Taillight HELP!!!!
Dull Taillight HELP!!!! Recently purchased 01 T/A. The right Taillight is duller than the other when lit. Looking inside the light, there appears to be something black all over the reflective part of the light. Tried scrubing with finger thru hole with soap. No luck. Thought it was mold since light holds water. Anyone else encountered this?? What can I do??

Common problem - caused by corrosion. The only real way to repair it is to stick it in the oven to loosen the glue and separate it, paint some chrome paint over reflectors, and reassemble it with silicone or something. There is a writeup somewhere on here... My car had the same problem but I just bought a used replacement from a junkyard.

Honestly, if one of my tail lights ever fades again I'm gonna find a cheap/free spare that's also faded and try an experiment with two of em... I'd rather not take it apart just to have it looking almost as good as the other side... Plus, they're kinda pricey to replace new...
