Default Blending the CME Valence

So my uncle bumped into my bumper and I decided to go CME since my bumper is going to be repainted anyway. I have the tips, and I bought the urathane valence remake that a sponsor is selling on here. I took it to the local body shop and the guy workin there is not sure he wants to do it because he's afraid that the paint is going to crack and he's not really sure how to mate them together or how well it's going to come out because he has never done it before.

For the people out there that know about this kind of stuff, or those that have had it done, how do you do it?

if he dont know hot to put them together, RUN the other way.

ususally they use fiberlass or epoxy to connect them cus they are easier on the flex

Well, it's a body shop, he does a lot of work, and he paints a lot of old custom cars. He said he'd do it, but didn't want to be responsible if I wasn't happy with his work lol. At least he's an honest guy, he just wanted me to find out more info on how people do it. I guess he's just a little hesitant because of the urathane valence.

Any competent shop can do this for you. If you're referring to actually blending in the valence into the bumper... then that can also be accomplished by a skilled body shop.

I am doing the same thing, if they cant blend it in, then you need to be taking it elsewhere to get it done, and where they know without worry or asking, thats where it will be done the right way.

We have a guy who does it for $100 (minus the paint). We could get a few cars together and make a day of it

Does the bumper have to be on the car? I would take my bumper and valence down tomorrow and pay the guy cash to do it. Let me know because I'm headed down that way tomorrow early morning.

to blend mine, they rivetted it to the bumper every 4-6", then used a urethane body filler, sanded/smoothed and re-urethaned to fill in spots, sanded, used a reg body filler to fill it again, sanded, a couple base coats, then spray with flex additive
