Default Does anyone have a write up on removing sound-deadening?

Title explains it. If its setup anything like house carpet...can we just remove the sound deadening, then put the carpet back on top?

Yes...just pull the carpet up and start ripping it off. If you don't want to remove the console and the sound deadener on the floor pan under it (~3#), then, the rest of the jute pad & deadener is ~13.5#.

To get the carpet out, remove the interior trim panels, seat belt bases, seats, and console...easy, just takes a bit of time. Take care.
