Yeah this is pretty interesting. I noticed yesterday that my seat bolster is starting to wear pretty badly, hasn't ripped yet.

Im definitely interested in these seats. They look great man! I don't know when I will be able to pick a set up, but I definitely will one day. Probably after I get a splitter.

The rear seats are out of an LT1 Camaro, got them for $30 and they are pretty close pattern wise

Those are REALLY BAD knock-offs. Look at the different *****, the different seatbelt guide, not to mention how loose the stitching is and not as defined the seat shapes are.

The high end seat is Recaro, what I am selling is a Recaro knock-off. Those are knock off knock offs if you know what I mean...

Holy hell, you'll be my hero if that pulls through.

Default 6LITEREATER DESIGNS... NEW PRODUCT: Camaro Engine Bay Covers

So, I was bored tonight... I decided I would come up with a way to cover the ugly area behind our headlights.

I wanted to make something that I could reproduce and ship CHEAPLY (hence two symmetrically identical pieces instead of one huge piece) so that the price would stay down for you guys and gals

The finished product will most likely be aluminum, but here's my templates:

Here's my (dirty) engine bay without the covers...

and with the covers...

Without the cover...

With the cover...

Without the cover...

With the cover...

I chose NOT to deal with the center area.

1) Because it is a PITA to deal with, not much you can cover because it is open there so the hood latch assembly can come down...

2) It just doesn't look that bad. It is the sides that have all the ugly brackets and wires showing...

I think it looks a LOT better than before...

Now since the finished product will be aluminum it will actually be contoured a little to look better.

I am thinking of offering them as two options:

1) Powdercoated black

and

2) Bare metal (since I know there are people like me who will probably want to just paint them body color and powdercoating will be a waste of money).

Although, what I will MOST LIKELY DO is ONLY OFFER BARE METAL BUT make an arrangement so that you buy them from me for $xx.xx shipped but I ship to SilverGhost (sponsor on here, we've chatted about doing things together before) whom you pay to POWDER COAT THE COLOR OF YOUR CHOICE and ship to you.

So, are you guys/gals interested in these? Let me know and I'll take the templates to my guy tomorrow to get some pricing...

FYI: All the other cool engine bay stuff I have (fuse covers, etc...) are courtesy of Steve at Specialized Stainless, check him out !

UPDATE: OK PEOPLE, I HAVE OFFICIALLY SOLVED THE PROBLEM OF THE CENTER PIECE. I WILL PRODUCE THEM AS WELL. NO PICTURES UNTIL I AM READY TO SELL...

It will only work with the other two pieces I am already showing in this thread, I will probably sell as a set...

Everyone will be VERY PLEASED when they see what I have come up with

I'm just waiting to hear back on pricing...

I could, my guy bends lexan as well. Can't see as to how that would be cheaper than aluminum though... Also, don't know about powder coating lexan.

If LS2 Bait is the guy with the SICK ALL BLACK BAY then yes, that was my inspiration. I haven't seen his pics in awhile though. I'll have to look it up again...

All I did was check emblem pros site and specialized stainless site to make sure they weren't already selling them.

I would make one solid piece covering all that front space even where the latch goes.

THERE IS A HUGE BULGE THERE WHERE THE HOOD COMES DOWN. MAKING IT ONE SOLID PIECE WOULD AT LEAST QUADRUPLE THE PRICE. THE POINT IS TO MAKE IT AFFORDABLE. READ THE THREAD...

Why do people:

A) Not read....

B) Read and post erroneous comments regardless of what they read...

I like the idea. I hate trying to clean that area up! Emblem Pros has a center piece. I can't remember exactly what it looks like. Might work well with these covers.

Black?? You know I have a dead nuts match for NBM in powder coat right
