TCI flexplate, will it work with a TH400? Will the new TCI flexplate that came out work with a TH400...
I'm thinking about ditching my stock LS1 flexplate I'm using now and getting that one, its only $190
Anyone else running this product?

Re: TCI flexplate, will it work with a TH400? The flexplate is not really the issue with a TH400. You just need to make sure you have a converter with an LS1 bolt pattern that is built for a TH400 tranny. I believe the flexplates have dual bolt patterns. One is for LS1 and the other for traditional, smaller chevy bolt pattern. Who are you getting your converter from?

Re: TCI flexplate, will it work with a TH400? Yep, What Todd said...It'll bolt right up. You can use a converter with the traditional small bolt GM pattern or a converter with the LS1 bolt pattern. The TCI flexplate has provisions for both.

Re: TCI flexplate, will it work with a TH400? Just a note, its a great product, very beefy! The only thing I ran into while installing it, was the torque converter bolts. The TCi has a small recessed area where the bolts go through, well a regular bolt is too big as well as any washers. So I went and picked up a set of Allen headed bolts. These are what the doctor ordered, except they are too tall and don't clear the rear cover bolts. So I ground the heads of the allen bolts and presto!

Re: TCI flexplate, will it work with a TH400? Thanks for the compliments on the flexplate Ryan. I'll increase the spotface to 1" on the next batch of flexplate so you won't have to run the allen head bolts. Let me know if you have any more recommendations.
