Exactly what I was thinking, the Circle D is also highly praised. I have a TCI S.S.F. 4000 that came with my car at the time of purchase. I have yet to touch it and it hasn't let me down yet. Although TCI is not the highest rated converter on the forums, the company has to be doing something right to be the top manufacturer for torque converters. I'll keep my fingers crossed as I venture over 550whp.

Although the 4K fuddle I have has been flawless, I know when I send the my Stage V trans back to FLT for the trans brake install, I will go with a 3500/4000 Circle D verter.

+1 Add me to that crowd. I defended mine forevr and it took out part of my trans and thrust bearing a few days ago. Damn thing ballooned and I am well under its "claimed" HP rating.

The instant TQ causes some verters to balloon/swell up. So, they put "anti-ballooning plates in to help. I sent mine back to John and got sent one that was upgraded when I added the N20.
