Default Torque Converter

Trying to figure out which brand converter to run. Any suggestions? Yank, TCI, Vigilante, etc. Going to pretty much be a all motor car, may spray it not for sure yet though.

if you want to spray you will not want to go huge on the stall.

Not nessisarily true. He just needs some good tires, a beefed up suspention and a progresive unit and he should be fine. Unless someone wants to chime in and correct me.

yes true....

if you go with a really big stall and spray it... it will blow through the stall... for instance..

if you have a 4k stall on motor.. it will flash to about 4300...

if you have a 4k stall on spray.. it will flash to about 4800...

thats not exact, just an example...

so you wouldnt want a 4600 stall on spray... you would wanna stay around a 4k.. or 4400 MAX..

(this of course is assuming you are using a regular shot.. something like a 100-150... bigger the shot, the higher the stall will flash..)

OP, Vig 4k is my vote.. i got it and i absolutely love it..

If you are going to run n/a most of the time and the jug just once in a while then I would run a 4200 converter with with a 225 str. This will drive nice and still let you spray it without driving through it.A progressive controller is definately a positive!Give me a call and I can explain.1-866-726-8358. We also offer a free stall change on our converters and a 3 year warranty.

Thanks,
Greg
