From T-56 to TH400 questions.......
From T-56 to TH400 questions....... Alright I have an LS1 car that is currently T-56, I am wanting to go to a TH400, I have everything needed to convert. What else must I do? Just put it in and not worry about the wiring or what will be needed since my car is not an auto. I was thinking Id just have to install it and then get the reverse lights and Im guessing speed sensor working and thatd be it?

Another thing what would my top speed be with 3.42 gears or so? This is going in my daily driver but I use it at the track as well but drive it daily more than often.
when i posted a similar thread like this i didnt really get much feed back. A friend of mine did the conversion a while a go and what he did was that he left the m6 pedals in there and the clutch in. Only problem with not doing anything with the wires is that you wont have reverse light and your car will start in whatever gear, according to him. i dont really care about the reverse lights since i will be only using this for racing and dont mind leaving the clutch in all the time. And yea another thing you must do is wire the speed sensor, I'm doing my conversion right now and trying to find out how to wire that.

I know you can use a M6 bracket and modify it, If I had the money Id of course go with a BMR piece. Also about wiring the speedo, mine will be alot trickier because I have a 96 with LS1.
