Default M6 to T400 shifter install questions

Swapping my T56 for a T400. I have a B&M shifter but how do you guys mount them. I have a big hole in the floor from my old shifter. Also where do I tap into the backup lights and nuetral safety switch? What's the best way to route the shifter calbe too? Anything else I should know for the swap.

I covered the hole in the trans tunnel with some sheetmetal. You can line up the location of the shift and use some thin flat bar stock and mount it to the trans tunnel sheetmetal, then mount te sifter to it. The M6 shifter boot looks excellent on an aftermarket shifter.

You're not going to have a NSS or backups with an aftermarket shift, though. The cable is probably run from the back of the shifter so you'll just have to get creative with holes and rubber grommets.

My shifter has two sets of wires for nss and backup lights. I think I've found that I need to route the wires from the clutch switch up for use as a nss and my backup wires are a connection on my T56. Thanks for the help.
