Default Problem with brand new trans, Need Help!!!!!

We installed a brand new FLT level5 trans tonite, Runs great in 1st and 2nd, but slips like crazy as soon as it goes to 3rd.. Could it be something electronic or in the converter is is something wrong in the trans????

(if it make a difference, the trans was installed in a 2000 silverado w/ LQ9 6.0 w/ cam and heads)

Have you tried talking to them? That's probably the best thing to do. Running straight to the keyboard isn't always the best course of action.

We have been in contact with the shop that installed the trans. It appears that their's a TPS low voltage problem with PO122 being set. We do have the shop checking into it and will see what they find. Hopefully the trans isn't damaged, unfortunately the TPS is most the important input the pcm looks at for line pressure increase.

We were in contact with FLT, they were extremley helpful, turned out to be a broken wire for the speed sensor. Got it fixed and it works like a champ

Glad we could help your shop out with this one, besides your TPS problem we didn't know that you had a VSS problem as well! Those two problems combined would definitely make a transmission not shift properly. Now you can understand why we have that pretty blue piece of test equipment in our signature and on our website. Quality control is #1 here at FLT!
