convertor..65 to 4l80?

convertor..65 to 4l80? somthing finally went in my tranny and will start making plans for a new set up for next year. so my buddy has a yank 3200 stall in his 4l65 from his tral blazer ss and can pick it up for a good deal..now can it be sent back and made fit the 80 or will it not be worth it?
No the converters are very different
