Re: converters 3800 is as high as you'll want to go as long as your keeping stock internals. But 3500 is generally considered the best street/strip stall.
TCI SSF3500 is probably the best bang for the buck converter out there. If you want top of the line then I'd recommend yank SS3600.

Re: converters I like the 3800 tci converters, we sell alot of them. I've even had a few people bump up from the 3500 to the 3800. Its also tight enough that you can use it on nitrous down the road if you want 
Or you can get crazy & go with a 4400 TCI stands behind all their products also, thats why we sell alot of TCI converters compared to other brands.
