Default Learned how to launch my A4

2000 WS6 wasn't doing too bad on the old launch strategy, flashing the verter like worked so well on my old v6... This car is no v6 btw, lol. Ran a 13.02 with the flash. Then, I ordered a 3000 stall and went out to drive to work one day, still with the stock stall in, the new one isn't here yet, but I came to a redlight with nobody around so I went ahead and braked up to 1400 rpm or so and let 'er rip - ****, I bet I could have been running 12.7's on 1.8x 60' times instead of 13.0x's on a 2.1x 60'. Just wanted to post up and let some of you other A4 guys know that my stock stall, at least, LOVES to be powerbraked.

A4 is easy to launch..when I had my old setup, I would bring it up to about 1400, then mash it to the floor. I had a 3600 Stall. On the street that probably wouldn't work, but on the Track it would pull a Wheelie, 1.56 60ft's..

when i had a stock stall, i know a couple times i messed around from a stop, i would let the car roll till about 15mph then smash the gas.. it would do pretty good. but that was with 2.73 too... lol..

now i have a built tranny, 3200 stall and 3.73. so ill probably try stalling it to about 12-1400rpm then hammer it.

I still have the stock 2.73s and the stock converter on street tires, and if I try to power brake, all it does is sit and spin. I have to launch off of idle. I have a couple of bolt-ons and more on the way, along with some stickies so I should be able to foot brake it, keepin my fingers crossed.

Just make sure you get a good tune and some good tires and you'll be ripping out of the hole.
