The 4L60e doesnt use a cable, its all electronically controlled. My guess would be that something with the shifter is off... does is go into park and reverse?

Yea, you have to adjust your Cable length. The slot to get it into Park is actually pretty big, and the one for Reverse is small with the Shifter, you have to have it just right.

Haha okay I got ya... When I first got my TA the trans started slipping, and the dumbass shop owner where I used to work said my transmission cable was f'ed up, and kept pointing to the cruise control cable. Needless to say he didnt stay in buisness very long...

But yeah adjust the shifter cable, remove the center console and you can see it and if you cant get it from there go under the car the cable is coming out of the tranny and is in an accordion type thing... youll see what im talking about. Good luck

10 years ago I was all about the club scene at 25 years old where if it was not packed I wouldn't go there. 10 years later it's local bars and if it's packed I'm not stepping foot in there lol.

I just put a transmission in my 2003 tahoe, it would not go forward,- only reverse. Then I could not get it into park with the shifter

Try it from underneath. disconnect the shift cable and try moving it with out the engine running. Don't forget to block the wheels.
