A4 Shifter Knob Removal?

Default A4 Shifter **** Removal?

Okay i have searched this with no luck so here i go!

I want to replace my center consol with the one out of my wrecked 1994 camaro z28 and i cant figure out how to remove the shifter ****? can anyone help me please?

There's a small metal U shaped clip that holds it on the front side of the handle. Turn the key on so you can put it in first, then just pry out the clip with a small screw driver/needle nose plyers - then pull straight up.

There is a small 1/2" wide Staple in the front of the **** pointing toward the nose of the Car. Look for it and you will see it now. Get you a small Flat-head Screwdriver to remove it, then pull the Shifter up.

thanks guys I just went out to my car and seen what you are talking about.

Last night i was looking at it and couldnt figure it out!

I guess i was having a blonde moment!
