Default inspection covers?

I some how had one of my lower control arm bolts come loose after 5yrs on the car this weekend and was under there replacing it when I noticed this:

*two open holes.

I had changed the oil back in Oct and dont remember seeing these open, but they may have well been. I am pretty sure there are supposed to be plates on em.

The car is still up on jackstands until I find a few answers.

a. what are they called (if i referenced part suppliers)
b. where can I get them?
c. any danger of having them missing?

If i cant find anything, I am thinking about cutting up an aluminum can to make my own and use RTV to keep them in place.

The are little aluminum snap in covers I have no idea what you would call them to order,
But unless you spend alot of time on gravel roads or muddy roads (mud boging) I really would not be concerned with them

The car stays on the street and only gets to come out once or twice a month + track time.

They are inspection covers. I ordered one (the larger one) from the local GM dealer after I lost mine for a few bucks. I remember reading another post recently about this also.
