NNNOOO....seriously? Okay if that turns out to be the situation what would you recommend this time around for the bebuild?
I was thinking possible the convertor due to the noise. However it was just described to me I didn't get there in time to hear it. He said that there were no visible leaks.

Awe man. No we are in San Antonio. Dang we have 3500 TCI Stall that also got rebuilt 2 years ago along with the transmission.

I would certainly concur that pulling the pan may tell the story, But it sounds like a trans failure to me possibly a broken input drum or failed planet and or pump with no movement.
It could be the converter splines stripped but I have only seen this once on a GM car so kinda rare IMO.
As for the trans If it needs to be replaced I would get one from one of the sponsors here along with a converter .
We have some really good combo deals running right now also for you to look at .
