Default Removing Converter Bolts?

I just jacked the car up tonight to begin my TH350 swap. I peeked under the car for a moment and I realize the bellhousing on the 4l60e goes right up to the block, with no "inspection plate" like a TH350/TH400 has. My question is, how do I un bolt the converter from the flexplate to pull the trans out? With a TH350/TH400 you would un-bolt the converter where the inspection plate cover was. Like I said, I havn't really looked under there to see, but just something that I was curious about before I go out to try to drop it tomorrow. Thanks!

pull the starter out and you can access the bolts through it. you only have small window there so it helps to have someone hand spinning the motor while you watch for the bolts to come around.

^^yep this dude is right, also be sure to take the plastic cover off after you pull the starter, it give you a lot more room...also watch stripping the bolts out, if its an older ls1 model, its gonna be torx bolts..

Some had a PITA torx that are almost impossible to remove... and some have a normal 15mm hex head bolt.

I hate torx bolts. Hopefully I'll luck out with the 15mm bolts.
