Those With Performabilt..
Trannys and converters, what are your impressions?
With regards to the converter, if you swapped from a different one what was it and what was the difference.
I currently have a Yank SS3600 and it is the perfect converter for my car. But because of warranty and discount thinking about getting the PB converter and tranny.
Thanks

I just bought PB Level II w/their 3200 billet stall. I live next to New England Drag way, and a couple of guys that were racing recommended PerformaBuilt's level III trannies.
I'm not going to do much racing, and make under 400 HP so i thought the level II would be fine. And Frank has been a pleasure to work with I'll report back on a thread after the install and tune this spring (car is in storage).

I am running a performabuilt stage 2 4L60-e with a custom built TCI 4400-converter. Making 608hp on spray. I ran a 6.7 in the 1/8th. The transmission is awesome, shifts are strong. Plus there customer service is top notch.

So if I order the billet stall (3600) with a 2.5str will it perform like the Yank does?
Also looking at my #'s what kind of life do you think the tranny and converter will have? It is my dd, I go to the track maybe 4 times a year.
On the stock tranny now with shift kit and vacuum modulation. Has 32k miles on it. Yank has about 14k miles on it.

I have a level 3 unit in my car and it's been awesome. Frank is ALWAYS there for the phone calls in fact I called at about 10:30 at night when I was in the middle of swinging my motor back in and he picked up and answered my questions. I dont regret going with PB for one second, great company.

I'm running one their 9.5" 3000 stalls on a stock 4L60E in my bolt on LT1 car. It has performed flawlessly for two years now. So far I've hit a best 60' of 1.65 on a stock suspension.
