Shif kit or .490" boost valve?
I am in the market for a shift kit or valve, which ever you guys think is best for my 96 camaro. 145,000mi
This seller includes the .490" valve as well as other valves + gaskets:

This is just the .490" valve, no gaskets? Which ones do I need other then pan?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-4...QQcmdZViewItem
http://www.jegs.com/i/TCI/890/374420/10002/-1?CT=999
Does the valve body need to be removed for this installation?
Thanks

.490 is stock, the kit (at least every transgo 4L60E-HD2-B kit that I ever installed) had a .500 valve.
In the other auction, (The boost valve only) is a problem solver type that has o-rings around the OD. It's the same size as stock.
If you change only the valve I seriously doubt you're going to feel any difference at all.
