My cars is a 1989 ford mustang notch, should be around 2900lbs race wt. 99 ls1, th400 tranny. the cars a street car but weekend drag car also. Here's my engine setup nothing crazy

99 block
stock z06 cam
new zo6 headgaskets

stock intake
long tube headers
most stock

all and 3.55 gears in the rear

From my experience, 3200 vigilante stall should be a good choice. It's both streetable and strip ready. I mean ****, it puts you in your powerband real quick. Also, you probably don't want to get too much of a bigger stall or else it may be loose.

I would suggest a Yank SS4000 or PT4000

The SS is a little more street friendly over the PT4000 which will hit really hard. The SS4000 could still work with some nitrous as well.

I assumed you run a good drag radial or slick because you will need it

The Vig stuff is good into the 3600 area, but beyond that they tend to be too loose.

There are people very happy with Circle D products as well, but to date we have not tried any to give feedback.
