Default 93 Trans Am auto

My 93 trans am has been giving me fits since I got it. When I recieved it the car had a rebuilt tranny. I drove the car maybe 5000 miles and lost second gear. Had another shop rebuild it. Now the same situation. What rebuild and parts would you guys suggest?? I now have more time and could do it myself, but haven't done an auto rebuild in yrs. How hard are they? Is it even worth rebuilding the auto or just go t56 and viper spec it? I'm shoting for big rwhp #s. It will either see big boost or a big shot of nitrous.

If you are talking about something that will handle some hp and you have not built one in years you are better off purchasing a built transmission. It is not easy if you do not know what to upgrade. It can be a rather expensive experiment.

Thats what I was thinking my last transmission my t56 D&D did. I almost what to stick with the auto since its going to be a beast to shift with a t56.
