Default what size stall no cam

Ok so I have a stock trans am and my transmission has gone out. I do not have a cam but I don't know if i should put in a big stall. I will put in a cam but it will be a year or so. What stall size do you recommend? This is a daily driver.

I would look into the Yank SS3200 or the SS3600 for a daily driver.

popular choices for daily driver stalls are 3200-3600!! but there are guys who daily drive 4k stalls with no problems.

What size cam do you plan to do in the future? What are your future goals with the car? A converter is something you want to do once and do right.

More info needed about the cam choice so you will be ready when you get it. But 3500+ is very normal for DD LS cars. 3200 is the minimum I would go, but if adding a cam it might not be enough.

Vigilante 2,800-3,200 is a good choice.

I'd go with a 4000, if those are your plans.

ha ha. i went 3200 (no cam) and still had some dead spots. i could tell it needed at least a 3600. now with a 224 cam it has the power to pull through the dead spots better.

For that I would say our 3C or 4C. Either will be fine for a DD, with the 4C giving a little better results at the track. I would suggest the Stage I Billet Street/Strip Series for either stall. Good Luck with your decision.
