Default 4l80e how strong.

a friend is offering me a 4l80e tranny. how strong are these tranny's stock? how much are the converters for the tranny and how much do they cost to make them stronger?

Depends on the model. there are some that came behind v-6 engine and others that come from behind a duramax which has over 600 Ft lbs of torque. It can be updated to handle as much as any T400. Stock converters range from anywhere from 150 to 300 and again can handle the duramax tq levels.

the tranny is out of a hd truck with a 6.0. should also try to get the wiring harness from the truck?

Give me the code off the tag and I can tell you what it is. As for the wiring, it depends on what you are putting it in and what controls your are using on your engine etc..
