SY 3500 vs. SS 3600
First I'd like to thank Mike for taking the time to walk me through the selection, he seems like a very nice and knowledgeable guy.
Ok, here's what I got:
2000 Z28
3.42 / factory 10 bolt
factory aluminum DS
lid/loudmouth/!FRA/!MAF screen
mac headers going on same time as TC
Trans will be built very solid, with tuning
GSC's on the street, BFG's at the track
125hp dry shot
Yes I do have a trans cooler

My best on that setup (stock trans/tc) was 11.81 @ 118.3MPH
Mike thinks the SY 3500 is better suited for my setup (softer launch for drivetrain and drag radial), but also suggested the SS3600 if I'm more interested in strip peformance than street.
But really how rediculous is the SS3600? If I punch it from 60 (no nitrous) am I going to be sideways on a street tire, or will it just chirp and go?
I really want the car aggressive but not to the level where I can't do anything if I'm not on a tire.
Thanks for all your opinions, I'm probably sending the check out tomorrow or Friday.
at least thats what i get from reading its description. something to do with the 21 blade stator or something. go read it again. My understanding is that it gives a less loose feeling from what i read. Whether or not it roasts tires, i believe thats the RPM stall and STR that you choose. Obviously a 2.5-3.0 STR seems to blow off tires alot more than 1.x STR from my limited reading of the forums and various "stall" sellers websites.
we all drive on drag radials all year long right?

I will note that in the cold weather Nittos feel like I'm driving on wheels of stone like Fred Flintstone.

Higher STR can blow the tires off, but it's all in the control of your right foot

If you plan to stick with Nitto's and street "race". The ST-3500 might be a better choice. But if you are looking for the best track performance, go for more converter.
