so, as in my WTF did i break thread, my 4l60e took a ****. I have a chance to pick up a freshened TH350 with trans brake and BTE 3800 N2O converter. The guy wants 750 for the trans and converter. Now, i read the sticky with the link to the swap, but I am confused as to what parts i need to get this trans to work. Where can I buy a new DS, or should I have mine shortened? What torque arm should I use? Should I buy a crossmember, or modify the stocker? What parts do I need to get the trans to link with the LS1 flexplate? What should I do about the PCM, do I just get the codes for the trans shut off? Thanks

The driveshaft is going to have to be lengthened and a few sponsors sell them. You can do one of four torque arm setups- 1) buy the conversion kit from B&M and keep the stock ta. 2) Buy a crossmember with the relocation mount on it (BMR and UMI sell them) 3) Buy a ta that mounts in the middle of the car 4) Buy a tunnel mount ta from Jegs. I have a UMI crossmember and it is an awesome piece and is priced right. I also have a TCI flexplate that has a dual bolt pattern for a TH350 and 4L60E. I took all the ECM crap out of my car so I can't help you there.
Hello,
We will be glad to help you with the torque arm and crossmember.. we have a few different options I will post and go over below.
1. If you run a short tunnel mount torque arm all you would need is a transmission crossmember designed for the TH350, this can be seen here- www.umiperformance.com/2211
The short tunnel mounted torque arms can be seen here- All will work with any transmission/

2. We also offer a transmission crossmember with a built in torque arm mount for the TH350. This features the correct mount for the TH350 and has a integrated torque arm mount to mount the factory torque arm or any factory style aftermarket torque arm. This item can be seen here- www.umiperformance.com/2212
If you have any questions please ask. Thank you!

The TCI flexplate comes with the Flexplate bolts and the spacer for adapting the converter. However, if your converter was built LS1 specific for a LS/TH350 car, you won't need this. But if you are using a standard old school SBC/BBC TH350/TH400 converter, you will need to put this spacer on.
