Default TH400 LS1 Car

Can u use your stock shift with a th400 transmission if so how what do u need to make it work

Yes. Mine hooked right up...But my th400 was setup for an LS1 car when I bought it...It looks like the shift lever on the trans was modded.

Do you happen to have a pic of how it is modified? I have always been under the impression that there is nothing to mod, just hook it up and go. I will be adding a th400 in the spring to my car and I'm trying to finish compiling all the info and every part needed.

I used the stock a4 shifter. I used the stock 4l60e trans shifter arm and cable. Works perfect. I used a different cable bracket at the trans though.

Same here just used a different little plate bracket and made my own mounting point with a piece of angle.
