stock 4l60e rebuild problem
Recently I busted the transmission and a friend of my dad has a transmission shop and said he would rebuild my tranny, so I let him do it.
So far I have taken the car back 3 times to him because every time I step on the gas a little the car starts to spill all the oil underneath the tranny and pan and the car barely runs 15mph. He says the problem is my car has to much power for the trannsmission and I agree but I know cars out there like mine have done a rebuild with my mods and can still drive it moderately for a while atleast, not just for a couple of days down the street to go to the grocery store and then busts. What do I do guy's?

Sounds to me like your dad's friend doesn't know what he is doing. Trying to diagnose by your post could be a number of things. Depending on where the leaks are coming from and how long it is being driven before it leaks could be a few different thing. The pump may have been put together wrong. Front pump seal and or bushing bad. Valvebody assembled incorrectly. Clutches setup wrong causing overheating/boiling fluid. I'm sure the Performabuilt and FLT will chime in. They are the experts. I've only built one 4L60E and it has survived 2 1/2 seasons ranging from low 11's to mid 10's now.
Based on your mods you do not have to much power for a 4l60e ,
We have them consistently in the low10s with our level 2, Not bashing your freinds dad but sounds like he is eithe not familiar with the 60e and certainly not familiar with a performance 4l60e.
Saying whats actually wrong with the trans would be bear impossible over the internet but i would say as mentioned somethings put together wrong ,
Sorry to hear of your troubles
