Default Engine To Bellhousing Dowl Pins?

Does anyone know off hand what size the dowl pins are that go into the back of the block to mate the engine to the transmission? Or where I can get them? I've called all the local dealers, with no luck, and would like to get this transmission in asap. Thanks.

Not knowing your situation I can tell you what I would do.

Look for any small block, big block, 4.3 V6, and I'm sure theres more. The pins are the same and usually clean up to like new.

I know of a 4.3 in the woods, I know the local junkyard would let me get some off a block either in the discard pile or the yard, probably for free.

There is still one in the motor, the one just came out with the bellhousing when the T56 was pulled, and forgot to grab it before it got sold, so now the TH400 is going in, and we need to replace the one. From what I can tell, the dowels on my SBC motor are a lot bigger than the LS1 dowels.

should be the same as any small block/ big block, even a 4.3 v6,,

think about it, all the gm transmissions interchange(even old th350/400's can be bolted right up to a lsx engine) and have the same size dowel hole, so just pull one from a used engine somewhere
