The reason for this post is two-fold...1) to introduce myself 2) to try and let you guys (and gals) know about the past and future of the Phoenix converter line.

I would also like to say that I had nothing to do with TCS and will have nothing to do with TCS in the future. They are dead...gone...bye-bye...but Derrick isn't.

I have been rebuilding converters for 13 years and have recently become acquanted with Derrick. He has told me that his father basically pulled the plug on the whole operation via a phone call on a Sunday night. His father basically told him that he had enough, proceeded to clean out the bank accounts, sell all the equipment and for Derrick to basically Fu^& off. I know that there is always two sides to every story but from reading back in this forum I think alot of people can say that this is not the type of thing Derrick would do. This basically tore him apart. Not only did his Dad just stab him in the back, but the customers and friends that he had gained were now confused, over something he had no control over. He also said that he has his mind back somewhat and will be posting more on this later this week.

This brings me to why I am involved.

Derrick and I are working on a partnership to try and re-establish his top quality converters. When he gives me the word we will aquire the equipment and begin to try and rebuild his name. Now I've seen alot of race converters over the years and I'm here to tell you that what he has designed and the ideas he has are like nothing i've seen before.

We will be honoring all of his previous work for all of his customers. We will do the best we can possibly do with each of you. Like I said before, I have no affiliation with TCS in any way...If you somehow lost money than his Dad is the one to go after.

This will take some time as we try to establish a new company while still holding down a full time job. Your patience will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to shed a little light at the end of this tunnel

When I saw the title "Phoenix return", I thought Oh good, maybe they will let me return my TCS Ph. I read your post and I was pleasantly surprised. I never had a problem with mine, but I "hear" from "them" that these are shitty vertors, have falsey claimed efficiency, stall way higher than advertised(whos doesnt ) and that they were in general poor parts internally. I am curious as to what the real answer is and where we stand with the future. I think it is good to poke around for a while then let things cool down and let Derrick have his say. For the record once again, SO FAR I love my TCS4400 2.7 str. Good Luck getting reorganized. Bear

Although I never posted to this board before I am a reg readers of the posts on here. This is seriously disturbing that not long after ROBBING people of there hard earned cash this guy can just open a new shop and not owe people that lost there money anything. Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this picture. I would hope that the operators of this board and the others would not allow this shell game to continue. Is his MOMMIE gonna toss him out of the next shop? As nice as derek may be his business practices are way shady. His Daddy didnt talk people into sending money for converters and then recieve nothing it was Derek. As far as i know after he shafted many people he wouldnt answer his phone and didnt even have the ball sac to return his calls. Wasnt this the guy that had his wife respond to tell his story because he didnt feel the need to?
I guess its somewhat good news for people who actualy recieved there converters that there might be some warr but how can anyone ever believe this guy ever again .

You never really did officially do that. More info on yourself and hearing from Derek himself might help out just a little.

 

TROLL!!! You just registered to make this post. You know nothing about Derek or what went on here. Shady practices?? Giving out free converters, free restalls, lifetime warranties, talking hours upon hours on the phone to customers....I'd like to think what you think is shady. Derek didn't rob anyone; dad did.

As one of the people who got burned by TCS, this is disturbing. A company closes it door abruptly, burns customers, then magically reappears with a new partner and name. Of course the owner of the old company is demonized and potrayed as the real villain. Until all of the facts from all parties come out, all of this heresay and second hand information from "people who know Derek" means nothing.

Now I think there are like 5-10 folks trying to get their money back from TCS.

Let me put it this way, if you guys take care of them, ie. get them their money back or get them a converter (if they still want one) then that's good otherwise I will never allow a business that employs Derek Freeman, Vannessa Freeman, or JC Freeman ever advertise on our site ever again. I am also very good friends with other message board owners, Take my comments as absolute, there is no discussion on our position.

I'm just saying that if whoever owns MTI, Speed Inc. or another company, fired all of it's employees and took everyone's money that it had; and then Jayson or Angie, who had been fired, went to open up their own company, views would be different. People just want their money back and they don't care where it comes from. I understand that, but Derek is not the source of the problem. I'm sure he lost money, not to mention his job, just like everyone here.

I'd be glad to talk to Derek about this on the phone we have talked before but our people must be made whole they come FIRST.
