Which trans mount should I go with
I need to replace the trans mount on my car. Which is better, the Prothane or the Energy Suspensions mount? I remember reading somewhere that one of these mounts didn't fit exactly right and I would prefer not to get that one. Thanks for any input.
The ES and prothane mount are damn near identical!
In an A4, usless your really hard core, go with a 1LE GM replacement mount. The aftermarket poly bushings transfer alot of vibration into the interior of the car.

I got my last one from SDPC our sponsor. Call them up. They'll hook you up!
I went with the Prothane Poly torque arm and tranny mount.. The vibration was noticeable at first, but I got used to it quickly and don't notice it anymore..
Be careful with the new "universal fit" 1LE mount.
It appears to be a softer durometer rubber and is considerably taller than the stock OEM piece. So much in fact I had to take the top half of my driveshaft loop off to make it work. It pushed the tranny higher into the tunnel to the point it looks odd. I also think it screwed up my pinion angle big time, but I'm not entirely sure.

ES tranny mount here...fit perfectly and I didn't notice any change in vibration. I've got the ES torque arm bushing, too, haven't had a chance to put it on.
