Abbott spedometer adapter/4l80e i had a chance to take the chevelle out today, test out the Abbott speedometer adapter-works great, i set up the switches for my rear/revolutions per mile, seems pretty accurate-only thing i had to do was rev the leads on the little drive motor, so the motor would run in the dir of my speedometer cable-it was 1/2 the price of changing the tail housing

i orig pulled the cable out and noticed the section they "square" where it went into the speedometer head was just slighty bent, so i tweaked it so it was straight, and that took care of the tapping sound inside of the outer cable housing-if theres a noise from the motor, i prob would never hear it, even though the box is mounted inside-the car is a little noisey inside, bet the flowmasters and the supercharger, lol-but not that bad
the speedometer reads nice and steady, really happy with the setup
with the tailshaft housing kit, you have to have the correct output shaft, which i didnt anyway, i have the long splines
